Yolanda Scott

Yolanda Yvonne Scott passed away on February 13, 2018 in her home where she felt most comfortable surrounded by her family. She had faith and love of the Lord like none other and could not wait to see Him. She was born on April 28, 1951 to Manuel and Celia Costello. Shortly after graduating from Mabton High School, she married her sweetheart, Darrell Scott, on November 9, 1970. She loved spending time with her family and working in her flower beds. Just as she did with her flowers, she helped us all grow. She served on the boards of the Harrah Community Church and the Harrah Community Christian School for many years and was a blessing to her town. She is survived by her husband Darrell, daughter Heather Lyon, and her fiancé Jose Pacheco, son Darrell Jr. and his wife Christina, son Christopher, and honorary son Alex Solorzano. She is survived as well by her dearly loved grandchildren, Whitney, Joseph, Cody, Emma, Hannah, and Lukas Scott, Emily and Sally Lyon, and Toni and Connor Stanley. Also surviving is her sister, Ramona and husband Frank Martinez, and her brothers Carl Costello, wife Carol, Mike Costello, Mitch Costello, and wife Marian. Yolanda was loved by everyone who knew her and was simply known as “Grandma.” A special thanks to the people of Memorial Hospice Services, the Friends of Harrah, and the Labbee family. A celebration of Yolanda’s Life will be held at 1 PM on Friday February 23, 2018 at the Harrah Assembly of God Church located at 3681 Harrah Road.
