Winona George

Winona Nita George- Winona Nita George was called home on August 6, 2022. She was born in Yakima, WA and raised on the Yakama Reservation with her family. George was born and raised by a big family and truly loved spending time with her family. She was very free spirited, loving, protective, and competitive amongst her brothers and cousins. She enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Her loud sense of humor and laugh allowed her to gain many friends throughout the years while attending different schools. Her fierce love and loyalty allowed her to gain the confidence and courage to stand up for her beliefs and loved ones. George is preceded in death by her Mother; Eve Jean Ike, Maternal grandmother; Melvern Littlewolf, Marsha Sweowat, Amy Sweowat, Uncle Daniel Gomez,Aurthur Martin Auntie; Sheila Yullap, Tonya Sweowat Maternal grandfathers, Johnny Sweowat, Gilbert Sweaowas, Willis Sweowat, Elias Yulap, Aaron Johnson. Survived by Children; Lucy-Mae Martinez, Nathan, Landon, Feline Brothers; Robert N. George, Harrison George, Kenneth Sweowat, Joseph Ike, Robert Sweowat Father; Anthony George Jr Nephew; Gary Pete George Maternal grandmother; Karen Spencer and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her dressing will be held on Aug 8, 2022 at the Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato, WA at 1:00pm. She will be moved to Mt. Adams Community Center for overnight services and will be taken to her final resting place at MaCoy Cemetery in Toppenish, WA.
