Wilson “Wishpush” Sweowat, was called to Heaven on September 6, 2020. Wilson was born in Toppenish, WA to Pauline (Mann) and Louis Sweowat. He was a member of the Yakama Nation. He worked over 10 years at Yakama Forest Product and was a commercial fisherman. He loved every season. Wilson was the heart and soul of his family. He touched a lot of people threw out the Rez and Columbia River. He loved to travel and go to the Casino and Bingo with his wife. He also loved to fish at Klickitat Falls. He taught our sons and other family members that wanted to learn how to make their own poles. Every year he would call family to see when they were going camping together. He loved picking Huckleberries and other traditional foods.
He leaves behind the love of his life Sophia Sweowat; his sons, Ty (Sam) Hall, Colby (Devin) Hall, Enoch and Ezra Sweowat; daughters, Jessica Hall, Dakota Hall, Slve Sweowat; granddaughter he raised, Martene Hall Sweowat; brothers, Louis (Grace) Sweowat, Jr., James Sweowat, Wilbur (Suzie) Slockish, and Ray (Lynda) Slockish; Sister, Agus (Fredkahclamat) Sweowat, and Susan Sweowat;
numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
