Willie C Stewart was born on March 24, 1911 to James and Ida Meador Stewart. After growing up in Everton, Arkansas he and the love of his life, Idess, moved to Washington in the spring of 1947. In the fall they were blessed with their daughter, Darlene. She was the pride and joy of his life.
Willie worked in agriculture all his life. He retired from Lloyd Garretson & Co. when he was 80 years old. He worked 42 years for the company, and enjoyed every day he was there. Dad loved to garden and work in his yard. You would never find one weed in Willie’s garden or flowerbeds.
Willie’s parents, wife, brothers, sisters, and one very special granddaughter, Angie, are all waiting to greet him on the other side.
Willie is survived by his daughter Darlene Davenport, his two great grandchildren, Breanne Partlow and Travis Huff, his special niece and her husband, Mary and Richard Adams, and nephew Bill and his wife Lou Stewart. Thank you for all the special times you spent with him. To the greatest dad a daughter could ever have. Love you dad now and for always. You will always be in my heart.
I would like to thank all of the staff and caregivers of Crescent Health Care for the kindness and care that was given. I would like to give a very special thanks to my dearest friend, Judy Drole, for all her support and love that she has given to me and my family.
At dad’s request there will be no service. To all that knew my dad, please remember that great smile and the man that loved to joke with everyone. Valley Hills Funeral Home is caring for the family. Online condolences may be left at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
