William Tahkeal

William "Don" Tahkeal born August 16th 1949 in The Dalles Oregon to William and Ida Isaac Tahkeal. At the age of 17, Don enlisted into the US Navy. He served in the Vietnam War. Upon his return home Don met and married Nanita "Lanell" Arthur Tahkeal. Don and Lanell had 6 children, Thomas Lee Tahkeal, Cassie angel Tahkeal, Walter Richard Tahkeal, Shawna Jarilynne Tahkeal, Tasha Cresent Tahkeal, and Christina Dawn Tahkeal. Don Pastored a church in "Beautiful downtown Wapato" called "Faith outreach full gospel church" in the church they gave away clothes and fed people in need. Don traveled to many places to preach. Don is survived by children, Thomas Lee, Cassie Angel, Walter Richard, and Tasha Cresent, granddaughters Rayma Tahkeal, and Shoshanna Tahkeal. Two Grandsons DeShawn Tahkeal, and Ezekial Morales, Two Great Granddaughters Lucille Tahkeal and Layla Tahkeal. Don was Preceded in Death by Ida Isaac Tahkeal, William Tahkeal, Daughters, Shawna Tahkeal and Christina Tahkeal, Siblings, Anna Speedis, Lisa Tahkeal, Marilyn Tahkeal, Garry Tahkeal and Darrel Tahkeal. Dressing service will be held Wednesday April 3rd, 2024 at the Wapato Longhouse. Dinner will be served and overnight services will follow.
