William (Bill) Joseph Surovchak, born September 2, 1960 in Virginia found his peace at Yakima Regional Hospital on June 26th, 2016. Recently residing in Selah, Bill previously worked as a PA-C at Orthopedics Northwest in Yakima before struggling with severe heart problems. He enjoyed music, the outdoors, woodworking, reading and biking. His biggest love was his “buddy” Dakota Gage, his son. If you asked anyone, the first thing they would say about Bill is that he absolutely adored him. Dakota a recent student at Washington State University, studying medicine, was Bill’s best friend. Dakota and Bill would do everything together from traveling, to enjoying great meals and movies. Bill was a great father. He attended and graduated with a Bachelor of Science at St. Francis College on a soccer scholarship as a goalie. Bill continued to play soccer on local teams into his adulthood. From the Wasatch Mountains of Utah to the Cascade Mountains of Washington, Bill enjoyed skiing, camping and hiking. He had a great sense of humor and always had a helping hand. Bill is survived by his only son, Dakota Gage Surovchak; his mother, Marci Surovchak; and three brothers: Scott, Kevin, and Robert (Bob) Surovchak. A celebration of life will be held privately.
