William Kenneth Hill “Itothee”, 42, gracefully entered the Kingdom of Heaven on January 13, 2022 at 11:11am. He was born in Yakima, WA on July 3, 1979 to Chumila Hill and Clayton Neaman. William was the oldest of five and coming from a single parent home, he stepped up by taking on the responsibility of helping look after his two brothers Marcus, Matthew, and two sisters Lahoma and Winona. A member of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation, he was also a proud descendant of the Muskogee Creek and Yakama Nation. He lived most of his life in the town of Wapato on the Yakama Reservation.
When he was a little boy, he couldn’t pronounce his name and told his great-grandmother Hazel Miller his name was “Lum-Lum.” The name stuck with him ever since. Yet, as he grew older only certain ones were allowed to call him by this name. One of his favorite cartoons that he watched on Saturday morning along with a bowl of cereal was the “Muppet Babies.” This is how he ended up giving himself the nickname “Fozzy.” Itothee, could always be counted on to help his sisters with whatever they needed like running concession, decorating floats for parades, and being the handyman around the house. Will was a selfie king before selfie was even a thing. He graduated from Yakama Tribal School and is remembered giving one of the most epic graduation speeches. William attended Yakima Valley College and Charter College specializing in Hotel Management. He worked various jobs for the Yakama Nation throughout the years. He started as a summer youth worker at the Yakama Nation Credit. Will also worked for the Yakama Nation Language Program, his supervisor gave him the name, “Pushtay.” Which in the language translates to “Hill.” While working for the Language Program he attended the University of Oregon language conference earning college credit. From that day forth he was an avid Ducks fan. His last job he held which he was very proud of was working for the Central Washington State fair. Rooting on his other teams: Oklahoma Sooners and the New England Patriots was one of his favorite past times. Every year, William took on the special role as Santa Clause at our family Christmas party. More recently, he took up his mother’s trade as the best meat pie maker. Anytime he had fundraisers it was certain that he would sellout. William’s pride and joy in life was his sole daughter Lynnita who he gave the endearing name “Big Brat.” Lastly, one of his most rewarding titles he gained was “Grandpa,” as his first granddaughter was born KiTiya. Laughter, goofiness, joking, and funny will forever best describe William’s character.
William is survived by his daughter Lynnita (Randy) Hill, granddaughter Ki’Tiya Stewart. Sisters Lahoma (Kyle) Doublerunner, and Winona Marsden. Brothers Marcus Marsden, Matthew (Nicole) Marsden. Nephews Caleb, Kyren, Odyssey, Sebastian, and Joey. Nieces Melea, Layla, and Hazelmae. Aunts Sharon Hill, Espoke (Stuart) Jim.
