William (Booha) Browitt 85 passed away on December 17, 2016. He was born on December 7, 1931 into a pioneer Roslyn Washington family. He received his early education in Roslyn and graduated from Eastern High in 1949. Bill worked for a short time for Patrick’s Coal Company, then entered the U.S. Navy during the Korean War after his honorable discharge. He then attended C.W.S.U. and began a teaching career in Grandview Washington. After 36 years he retired from teaching and substituted for the Grandview and Mabton School Districts. He was a member of the V.F.W. American Legion, Eagles and Lions Club and The Retired Teachers Association. He was also a member of the Grandview Museum Board.
Bill enjoyed his grandchildren, sporting events, and his colorful yard.
He is survived by his daughter; Pam Cisneros of Prosser and Son; Michael Browitt of Grandview, nine grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 6 brothers and sisters.
