Nellie and Vernon lovingly welcomed a precious baby boy on 4/24/1994. His name was Waylon Grant Owens “Tuskus”
He is adored by his siblings Jason, Saraine, Nanya, Shelly, Sina, Ole and Maelene. Also Brothers Leroy, Cameron, Vernon, Josh.
sadly his YaYa Ole, Nana Shelly and father Vernon had to return to our heavenly Creator and now he joins them, He will be traditionally dressed at 2pm at the Wapato longhouse. Waylon Grew up attending Wapato schools and was too dedicated to enjoying life to sit and study further. He loved the outdoors, and learned to fish and hunt in his earlier years. His passions were drawing, music, learning how to fix things technical or mechanical.
He was also blessed to be a part of two cultures with hugh families from Yakama Nation to Seneca Nation from upstate New York. He will be greatly missed by all. His greatest love he’s always talked about is his daughter Stevie. Her daddy was called home too soon. He will forever be our angel, in our hearts.
