Wanda Christie

Yakima - Our Matriarch, Wanda Jean Christie, 69, was given to the Lord on December 8, 2015 after a sudden stroke in which she could not recover. Wanda was born in Mobile, AL on September 10, 1946, and in the early 1970’s moved to Yakima, WA to settle and live out the rest of her days. She worked in Yakima for over 35 years as a CNA and touched many lives here – she never turned away anyone that needed help. Wanda is survived by her children; Kenny & Mindie Cunningham of Vassar, MI, Tammy & David Jessup of Fishers, IN, Robert Moore of Kent, WA, and Rebecca Moore, Lisa Tedder, Michael Sorensen and Consuelo Orozco, all in Yakima. Her many grand- and great-grandchildren will also miss her dearly. Wanda will be laid to rest with her eternal beloved at the West Hills Memorial Park in Yakima. A viewing will be held Tuesday, December 15th from 10am-4pm at the Valley Hills Funeral Home in Terrace Heights. Valley Hills Funeral Home is caring for the family.
