Victoria De La Fuente Gomez

January 25, 1961 — June 21, 2012

Victoria De La Fuente Gomez of Sunnyside passed away at the age of 51 Thursday, June 21, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at Yakima Regional Hospital in Yakima. Victoria was born in Prosser January 25, 1961 to Ernesta G. De La Fuente and Jose C. Alvardo. She was raised in Mabton and attended school there. In 1979 she married Rafeal Gomez of Pasco. Together they made Pasco their home until 1984 when they returned to the City of Mabton. Victoria was an apple checker for Lower Valley Apple Farms, she was also employed by Learning Land Express. Victoria enjoyed her Grand daughters and family functions. When it came to pets she always had a great passion for kittens. Victori had a great hard will to live and move forward even though in 1998 her health took a great decline. Victoria started to depend on a dyalisis treatment every other day to for the last thirteen years of life. She enjoyed cooking and her barbaco along with her caldos and listening to her scanner. She was always wearing a smile even thou days were rough she never complained and was always ready to help when she could. Every year for Christmas was special for Victoria because she knew it was time for gifts for her family even if it was from the dollar store it was the thought that counted. She enjoyed talking on the phone about what ever was on her mind especially with her older sister Stella Sicarios. Victoria will forever be missed and the memories of her will stay with us forever and not forgotten. Victoria is survived by her four children; Rodrigo Ramirez of Sunnyside, Angelica De La Fuente of Mabton, Eliecor Gomez (Eva) of Mabton, and Jesus R. Gomez (Monica Vega) of Sunnyside. Two Grand daughters: Destiny and Kassandra Gomez of Mabton, she is also survived by three sisters: Yolanda Gomez (Bernabe) of Sunnyside, Stella Sicairos (Rene) of Mabton and Beatrice Gonzalez of Mabton. Two Brothers; Arturo De La Fuente (Letica of Mabton and Benito De La Fuente of Mabton, she is also survived by her father Jose C. Alvarado and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles in Washington and Oregon. Victoria is preceded in death by her mother Ernesta G. De La Fuente , her niece Mariah De De La Fuente and her maternal Grandparents. We would like to thank Davita Dyalisis Center for the thirteed years of life they gave to our Mom. Hillcrest Rehab and Dr. Licht along with Kadelac Hospital and Dr. Upaideia and Staff. Visitation will be held on June 26, 2012 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Services will be held on June 26, 2012 at 1:00 pm and recital of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in care of the arrangements.
