Victor S. Martinez, 73 years old of Granger, WA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Victor was born on December 15th, 1945 in Yakima, WA to Catarino and Petra Martinez. In 1964, Victor married the love of his life, Monica Jimenez in Granger, WA where they made their home for the next 53 years, and raised their 5 children. Victor was a long time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe church. He retired as a social worker, employed through DSHS after 35 years of service. Victor was a rancher, business man, animal-lover, and musician, he loved working on ranch, raising animals, and playing his guitar. He always had ice cream for the grandkids whenever they came over. Dad and Mom loved to travel and have adventures that were unexpected and spontaneous. Dad your adventures will continue in heaven, we are sure of that. He was loved by so many, and loved his family dearly. He will be missed so much! Victor is survived by his loving wife, of 55 years, Monica, daughters Veronica (Mike), Rosemary, sons, Victor Jr. (Dorte), Ramon (Ivy), and Jaime (Norma), one sister, Rosa Garza, 16 grandkids, and 14 great-grandkids. He is proceeded in death by parents Catarino and Petra Martinez, brothers Margarita Ramirez.
Viewing will be on Friday, September 13th, 2019, from 3-7PM. Rosary will be at 5PM at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10AM on Saturday, September 14th, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Granger, WA. Burial will follow at Zillah City Cemetery, Zillah, WA
To Victor, there was nothing that was impossible. Dad always made the impossible, possible!
