It comes with heavy hearts to announce the passing of our loving son, brother, grandson, and most importantly father, Victor Carranza. Victor was born July 10, 1992 to Trina Stevens and Guadalupe Carranza. He was a member of the Yakama Nation.
Victor loved the outdoors, he loved to play basketball with his numerous friends and cousins. At a young age he learned to appreciate the ways of the Native American Church with his dad Wahelute Mills. He loved to take sweats with his dad and his bros whenever he got the chance. He knew how to make his loving presence by getting a smile out of everyone he encountered. He loved to spend time with his children Ivan and Isabell Carranza and anyone who saw his interaction with his children knew how much he adored them. Victor also made time to play with younger nephews, nieces and cousins who he also loved dearly.
Victor had various work opportunities in the valley, including Washington Beef, Wheeler Tobacco, and Legends Casino. The work most memorable was his work he did in the mountains-closed areas of the Yakama Reservation helping his other mama, Antonia complete their contracts. No matter where Victor worked he was a good asset and did his work with integrity.
He is survived by his parents; his father, Wahelute Mills; a brother, Renato Quiroz Jr.; sisters, Sophia Quiroz, Erica Carranza and Lavina Slockish; his children, Ivan & Isabell Carranza; his maternal family, Carmanita Pimms (Julius), Dorothy Winnier (Walter), Antonia Stevens (Chris), Gina Stevens (Lew), Tamara Strong (Jacob) & Larena Van Pelt (Shawn); with his paternal family, he is survived by his grandfather, Guadalupe Carranza Sr., his aunts, Angelina Sanchez (Raul Sanchez), Josefina Garcia (Jose Garcia) Guillermina (Gerardo Tzintzun), Maria Mandujano and Consuelo Mandujano and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents the late Frank and Reta Stevens and his paternal grandmother the late Ernestina Carranza, and his beloved sister Jessica Carranza.
