A wonderful, loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister was born March 21st 1949 to Stanley P. Krous and Evelyn A. (Lowry) Krous in Spokane, Wa In 1966 Stan and the family transferred to Grandview, Wa. to manage R.E. Powell Dist. Fuel yard. Vickie graduated from Grandview H.S. in 1967 , GO GREYHOUNDS!!! From Grandview she attended beauty school and worked as a Beautician in Yakima. In November 1970 , while attending a friend's wedding, she met the love of her life, her future husband Robert G. Fikkan. They were married May 5th, 1971 in her parents home. Vickie and Bob had Two son's Brian (B. 1973) and Jeffrey (B. 1975). Vickie was a stay at home Mom until the boys were old enough to fend for themselves. She joined the workforce , working various jobs until 1996 she accepted a job with Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital , in the Medical records Dept. and it as a perfect fit, she spent the next 23 years at a job she loved. She retired in 2020 at the age of 71. Thorough the years she enjoyed many hobbies such as reading, dancing, knitting, bowling, doing word puzzles, and most of all traveling. She and her Sister traveled to various cities in the U.S. and Foreign countries. In 2022 she was diagnosed with Cancer ,and she fought a valiant fight, but ultimately the cancer was just to much for her and she lost her battle. Vickie is preceded in death by her Parents,Aunts and uncles of the Krous and Lowry clans. She is survived by Her husband of 52 years,Robert,sons Brian (Wendy), Jeffrey (Della) , sister Patricia (Trish) husband Marlon Hoyle, brother Richard (Dick) wife Bev Krous, Grandkids Kelsey (Daniel) Noyola, Devan, and Christina ( Fiancé Sawyer and 3 Great Grandchildren, Wyatt, Jackson, and lil Sawyer. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. At Vickie's request there will be no formal services, and there will be a private family Celebration of Life at a later date. The Family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Northstar lodge for all their help and care. Vickie will be cremated per her wishes.
