Linda was called home August 4, 2015 at Cottage in the Meadow. She was born to Irvin and Helen (Williams) Rapp Sept. 1, 1954 in Yakima WA. Mom grew up in Selah and worked in the nursing homes until her health wouldn’t let her any longer. She married Ray Bailey Feb. 15, 1974 and raised 3 daughters. Mom loved us all deeply and had a feisty side. She loved animals and being with her family. Mom really enjoyed all seasons of the year, in the spring she loved dragging Dad to yard sales, every summer Dad would start a water fight with her many times dragging the hose through the house. She liked the colors of the fall, but her favorite season was winter. She liked everything about winter, the Christmas lights and decorating the tree with her angels, and the spirit of Christmas. Mom especially loved the annual snowball fight with Dad. She would tease Dad about snow; to him it’s a bad word. Dad was always doing something to make her laugh. Mom loved going to the Marine Corps Ball. It was her and Dad’s big event for the year. She loved her church and made many friends there. Mom was an active member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary for both State and Yakima/Kittitas Detachment. She was a Devil Dog Flea, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Mom was also a past member of the Fruitvale Fire Dept. Auxiliary.
Linda is survived by her husband of 41 years Raymond Bailey, daughters Heather (Marc) White, Brianne (Ron) Babbitt, and Sharon Foster and her special friend Dale Davis all of Yakima, and 10 grandchildren, her mother Helen Rapp of Selah, brothers Lee Rapp of Yakima and Carl Rapp of Nashville TN. She was preceded in death by her father Irvin Rapp.
