Valda Margaret Reynolds, 96, of Benton City, WA peacefully passed on to be with her Lord on January 12th 2018 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Valda was born in St. Lawrence, South Dakota to John and Hazel Stone. Her family moved to Benton City in 1936 during the "dust bowl". She married Louis E. Reynolds in 1942 and had five children. She is survived by one sister, Marles Moon, two daughters, Linda Alexander, Lisa King and one son Louis Reynolds. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Valda worked as an office manager for Roger's Surveying in Richland, WA until her retirement, where she was loved and treated like family. Valda loved spending time with family and friends, she was active in church, The Rebeccas and The United Methodist Women's organization for many years. She loved gardening and was a Master Gardener here in the Tri-Cities. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Services will be held this Saturday, January 20th, at the Benton City First United Methodist Church at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Benton City First United Methodist Church or to Master Gardeners WSU Benton County Extension for a memorial stone to be placed on the path into the Master Gardeners Demonstration Garden.
