Toni Wagner

August 20, 1962 — October 15, 2013

Toni Lee Lansing-Wagner passed away October 15, 2013, at 51 years old. She was born Aug. 20, 1961 in Olympia, WA to Marilyn and Gerald Lansing. She graduated from Olympia High School then proceeded to Eastern Washington University where she graduated with her BA. Here is where she met her handsome husband Glen Wagner. Toni worked at the Bon Marché and then was administrator at Montessori School of Yakima; later on in her marriage she became a homemaker for her children. Toni had many joys and talents. She was always reading novels, was an accomplished pianist, a trivia wizard, and a great baker and cook. She accomplished many things throughout her life. Throughout the 80’s she won the crowns and titles of multiple Miss America pageants, earning scholarship money for college. She was the president of Junior League of Yakima, and she had two incredible children. She was an amazing, beautiful mother that raised her two children, Jacqueline (18) and Austin (20) Wagner, to be proper and successful young adults. Throughout high school she pushed each child to be involved in copious activities/clubs, volunteer organizations, and sports. Now her son is a football star at the University of Puget Sound and is pursuing medicine and her daughter is exploring the country of Belgium through Rotary Youth Exchange. Toni was a beloved person. She was often thought of as a second mother to her children’s friends. She will be missed by all of her friends and family. She is survived by her two children, Austin Wagner of Tacoma and Jacqueline Wagner of Belgium; her husband, Glen Wagner of Yakima; and her parents Gerald and Marilyn Lansing of Yakima. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tori. The memorial gathering and Celebration of Life will be at 2 PM, Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Central Lutheran Church, 1604 W. Yakima Ave. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Toni Wagner, please visit our flower store.
