Born on November 1st, 1945, Tim began life in Minneapolis, MN. He developed a lifelong love for fishing at an early age, catching his first fish in the lagoon of Lake Nokomis and proudly bringing it home on the bus. When his family moved to St. Paul during his high school years, Tim chose to live with his grandmother “Nannie” to attend Benilde High School. While attending the College of St. Thomas, he joined the Air Force ROTC and earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. He served in the Air Force as an officer during the Vietnam War in Thailand. Before his deployment, Tim met Nancy, the love of his life. Before he left, they went on a walk and secretly agreed they would spend the rest of their lives together. After their wedding, Tim and Nancy moved to St. Paul where Tim prepared for graduate school. He was accepted to the University of Washington in St. Louis, Missouri where he earned his MBA. Tim’s first job was with Amoco Packaging in Beech Island, South Carolina. His son Scott was born quickly after their arrival. Four years later his daughter Annie was born. As Tim’s job changed, his family moved around the country living in Georgia, California, Wisconsin and back to Georgia before settling in Yakima, Washington to retire. A man with deep Catholic faith, Tim had many passions, including the outdoors, explaining financial tools in painstaking detail, fly fishing, woodworking and always enjoyed telling a good dad joke. He was known for his inherent drive to give back to his community, actively participating in Boy Scouts, teaching CCD and leading in many roles with Trout Unlimited where he participated in countless environmental clean-up activities.
