Timothy Antoine Coupal
April 20, 1959 – October 16, 2026
Timothy Antoine Coupal was born on April 20, 1959, in Ukiah, California, and passed away on October 16, 2026, in Yakima, Washington, at the age of 67.
Tim worked as a chef at Jade Tree and Olive Garden before retiring early. His love of cooking extended far beyond his career. He enjoyed preparing meals for family gatherings and creating beautiful ice sculptures for special family events. Sharing his talents with the people he loved brought him great joy, and his thoughtfulness helped make family occasions even more memorable.
Tim also had a passion for magic and was a member of the Yakima Magicians. For years, he delighted his nieces and nephews with magic tricks, making himself a favorite attraction at family gatherings. He loved making people smile, sparking their curiosity, and creating cherished memories with those closest to him.
Another of Tim’s many talents could be found in his wood shop, where he crafted beautiful, detailed pieces, including wine stoppers, jewelry boxes, yo-yos, and pens. Each creation reflected his remarkable skill, patience, and attention to detail. These were more than handmade gifts; they were treasured keepsakes made with love and care, each one holding a special meaning for the person who received it.
Although Tim and his wife, Camille, did not have children of their own, he loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. They held a special place in his heart, and he showed his love through the time, attention, and thoughtfulness he gave each of them. Whether entertaining them with magic, crafting something special just for them, or simply being the uncle they knew and loved, Tim built deep and lasting relationships that meant the world to him and his family.
One of Tim’s last special moments was meeting his newest great-nephew, Jensen, when he was just one month old. Seeing Jensen brought Tim tremendous joy and gave him another precious family memory to hold close.
Tim married Camille Miller on August 9, 1986. She preceded him in death on July 9, 2025. Tim was an only child and was also preceded in death by his parents, Raymond “Rocky” and Marietta Coupal. His parents-in-law, David and Blanche Miller, and his sister-in-law, Jeanette Cardenas.
He is survived by Camille’s family, who were an important part of his life: Diane (Dan) Andreas of Surprise, Arizona; Glenn Miller of Surprise, Arizona; Brian (Cheryl) Miller of Moxee, Washington; and Lorraine (Andy) Barrows of Entiat, Washington.
Tim is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Chris Miller, Angie Lafray-Cook, Dara Butler, Darcy Schlotfeldt, Drew Butler, Kara Lockbeam, Dustin Lockbeam, Kyle Miller, Adam Miller, Chanteena Murphy, Kendra Hart, Andrew Barrows, and James Barrows, along with his numerous great and great-nieces and nephews, all of whom were part of the extended family he loved so dearly.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Darcy and KyLee Schlotfeldt, Chanteena Murphy, Drew Butler, Lorraine Barrows, Glenn Miller, and Brian Miller for the love, care, and support they gave Tim after the passing of his wife. Their kindness and dedication meant so much to him and will always be remembered with appreciation.
Tim will be remembered for his many talents, his generous heart, his playful spirit, and the love he shared with his family. Through his cooking, magic, woodworking, and the countless thoughtful ways he showed he cared, he left behind more than beautiful creations and fond memories. He left a lasting impression on the people who loved him, and his memory will be treasured for years to come.
Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
