Timothy Belzer

January 5, 1962 — April 28, 2024

Timothy Kent Belzer was born on Friday, January 5, 1962, at 7:07 pm in Dallas, Texas. He passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in Wapato, Washington. Timothy was the 7th child of his parents, Gordon and Shirley Belzer. Tim was adored by his older brother, sisters, and younger brother. Growing up with all that attention didn’t stop Tim from seeking his own way. As a young boy his curiosity led him to taking things apart and putting them back together. He was cautious about exploring long docks at lakes until he figured out it was safe to walk on them. Tim was a tall skinny left-handed whiz of a Little League pitcher. In elementary school he had a growing collection of old radio shows, writing letters and trading with adults. He was handy at fixing things and learned roofing skills from his dad and brother. He enjoyed photography, nature and being outdoors. Tim graduated from Washougal High School. Tim lived in Richardson, Texas; Sandpoint, Idaho; Walla Walla, Washington; Washougal, Washington; Vancouver, Washington; and Wapato, Washington. It was in the Washougal area that Tim started working for Crown Furniture. Eventually that led to the formation of his own delivery company, “Tim’s Delivery,” which was well known in the area. Tim was a diligent and hard worker. He was honest, kind and generous to people. Tim’s rough exterior was overshadowed by his tenderheartedness. Timothy leaves behind one son, Luke Ford Belzer of Washougal, WA; His loving mother, Shirley Belzer of Sherwood, OR, and siblings: Marvin Belzer of Venice, CA; Susan Huie of Walla Walla, WA; Nancy (and Terry) Langford of Orlando, FL; Pamela (and Randy) Newcomb of San Francisco, CA; Vicki (and David) Egger of Portland, OR; and Gregory Belzer of Sherwood, OR. Uncle Tim loved and laughed with numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was also loved by an extended family, some of whom he enjoyed visiting with at a recent Belzer Family Reunion in January 2024. Tim was preceded in death by a baby brother, Terry Mark Belzer; a brother-in-law, Marty Huie; and his dad, Gordon Belzer, who passed away in March 2020. Tim honored some of his dad’s last words, “live for Jesus.” A Memorial Service is planned for Friday, May 10, 2024, 3:00 pm at Real Life Church of the Nazarene, 8100 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98664 To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Timothy Belzer, please visit our flower store.
