Thomas Deason

Thomas J. Deason, 92, of Yakima died Sunday at Crescent Healthcare. Mr. Deason was born in Rushing, Ark., and served in the Navy aboard the USS Cecil. He was a Yakima Valley resident for most of his life. He owned and operated Thomas Deason’s Painting and Taping. Survivors include his wife, Betty Deason of Yakima; a daughter, Karen Schmidt of Pasco; two sisters, Ruby Allen of Lacey and Faye Jones of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service, with military honors, will be at 11 a.m. May 17 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Terrace Heights.
