Sue Pecheos
1957-2018
Sue passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 10, 2018 with her children and family by her side.
Sue was born August 15, 1957 to Andy and Wilma Pecheos in Toppenish, WA.
Sue spent her childhood years riding in parades on her favorite horse “Trigger” along with her brothers and sisters. They all participated together in the “kiddie parades” with themed entries and costumes designed by their mom.
One of Sue’s greatest loves was that of her family, both near and far. Sue was the keeper of family information! Her second passion was the care and well being of animals of all sorts. Her favorite charity is the Yakima County Animal Shelter.
Sue was a graduate of Toppenish High School, Class of “75.” Sue attended Spokane Community College before returning home to work for her brothers at their family business in Sunnyside.
Sue then moved to Moxee, WA where she started her own daycare business for the past 30 years. Sue had a natural calling for caring for young children and truly loved each of “her daycare kids” as her own.
Sue is survived by her children, daughter Andrea Pecheos of Moxee, WA & son Sergeant Nick Pecheos of Fort Carson CO. Granddaughter Kaylee Pecheos–Jensen of Harrah, WA.
Brothers Mike Pecheos of Yakima, WA, Doug Pecheos of Toppenish, WA. Sister Tammie Pecheos Couch of Joseph, OR.
Sue is also celebrated by her nieces and nephews; April Sexton, Robby Pecheos, Amy Briels, Matt Anderson, Amanda Rahn and Lacy Bogart, as well as great nieces & nephews all of Oregon.
Aunt Norma Wentz of Oroville, CA and Aunt Bette Holden of Albany, OR and numerous cousins.
Sue was preceded in death by her oldest son Jason Pecheos, her father Andy & mother Wilma Pecheos.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 17th 1 PM at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah. Interment will follow in the Zillah Cemetery, with gathering for stories and dinner at the Zillah Best Western afterwards. Condolences can be left for the family at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
