Steven Gomez

Steven Gomez Sr, 64, died unexpectedly on July 19, 2019. He was born on September 7, 1954, in Toppenish, WA to Robert C. and Jennie Gomez. Steven graduated from Wapato High School in 1973. Steven married Martha Costello, the love of his life. Steven is survived by his son Steven Gomez Jr, (Megan) and his grandchildren, Jassmine, Charles and Aiden, of Hopkins, MN, and daughter Andrea. Steven enjoyed working outside, gardening, repairing cars and fishing. Steven was a kind hearted person. He always helped others. Steven is survived by his siblings, Robert Gomez Jr (Elsa), Charles, Sylvia (Tony),Gilbert (Grace), Stella (Dennis), David (Isabelle), and Robert Jr. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Steven is preceded in death by both parents, his infant son Charles Gomez, daughter in law, Meghan, and niece and nephew, Erica and Shawn. Special thanks to everyone that cared for Steven at Virginia Mason Memorial, Crescent Health Care and Dr. Sloop. Steven will be missed by the many friends and relatives who loved him. A rosary will be held Thursday, July 25, 2019, at 6:00 pm, at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato. Christian Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 26, 2019, 11:00 a.m., at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato. Reception will follow at the Wapato Filipino Hall.
