Steve Scott

June 19, 1988 — March 13, 2021

Steve Scott was born on June 19, 1988 to Dawn Eve Scott and Steve Ronald Scott in Yakima, WA. He passed away on March 13, 2021 at the young age of 32. Growing up he loved fishing with his family and going on hunting trips with his Dad. When he was younger you could often find him playing Pokemon with his little sister and friends. His sister Tiffany was his best friend. Steve found a passion for art at a young age. He was talented in many things but he was truly gifted in writing songs and creating his own music. He liked educating himself as much as he could about anything and everything. He would often challenge his sister and mom to trivia games such as Jeopardy on Alexa. His knowledge was impressive to say the least. Spending time with his mom looking up at the stars was something they did often together, making plans for the future. He and his mom shared a love for smoking weed, which included going to the dispensaries to try out new products. He knew what was important in life and to him, that was his family. Steve was not only a loving son and brother but he was their best friend and protector. They shared a very close and unbreakable bond as a family. He loved life and appreciated every minute. Steve enjoyed his video games, especially Rocket League. He took pride in working hard and had a kind and generous heart which made his mom very proud. One of his favorite things to do was to spend time going for walks and playing at the park with his dog Penny. She was the love of his life. Steve is survived by his parents Steve and Dawn Scott, sister Tiffany Craig, nieces Alexis Scott and Brooklyn Craig, his grandma Jan Ward, Half brother Breiden, several cousins and his beloved dog Penny. He was preceded in death by his Grandma Chelle, Grandpa Herb, Grandpa Bob, Grandma Diane, Brother in law Maverick Craig and half sister Paige. He will always be deeply missed and never forgotten. Memorial Service and Burial will be held Wednesday April 7th at Tahoma Cemetery at 10am. There will be a celebration of life Pot Luck for Steve immediately following after at Harlan’s Landing (the park opposite side of Rest Haven take exit 30B off I-82 going towards Selah, left at the stop sign, continue straight on E. Rest Haven Rd following the curved road down to the park). Feel free to call Tiffany or Dawn with any questions (509)901-0997 or (509)823-6598. The Scott family would appreciate any donations in lieu of flowers to be made directly to Valley Hills Funeral Home in Steve’s honor.
