Star Lamebull

Star Rose Lamebull “Kwláawit Xaslú,” born December 3, 1987, went to the creator on February 27, 2018. Star attended Wapato schools, and graduated from Wapato Pace High School. She also attended Job Corps in Everett, WA for a short period. Star held various jobs: a teacher’s aide at Wapato Head Start, Legends Casino as a Keno Runner and a childcare provider. She also worked at King Mountain. Star enjoyed going to the mountains digging roots and picking huckleberries. Star is survived by Kobe Sampson, Kevin Sampson, Constance Salway, Autonia Salway; companion John Jarimillo; parents Gregory and Elkay Lamebull, siblings Jessica (Chris) Fernandez of Granger, Tara Lamebull of Wapato, Ryan (Itzel) Lamebull of Harrah, grandparents Theodore Lamebull Sr. and Peggy (French) Lamebull, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Peter Smartlowit and Jeannette (Miller) Smartlowit, aunt Renee Elwell and uncle Arthur ‘Bub” Smartlowit, grandparents Gilbert and Annie Smartlowit, and Antoine and Hazel Miller.
