Silvestre Odon Olmedo Jr. 23 of Grandview passed away on December 17, 2014 in Seattle Washington with his family by his side. He was born July 29, 1991 to Erlinda Salinas and Silvestre Olmedo in Sunnyside Washington. Silvestre attended Grandview High School where he graduated and went on to attend college. He worked for Wallmart as a cashier and in customer service he also worked for Quality Inn. Silvestre loved to dance, play basketball, spending time with his family and friends, watching football (The Patriots were his favorite team), and supporting his nieces and nephews with their sports activities. One of his favorite pastimes was clowning around with everyone. He always had a smile on his face and was a good loving son, brother, tio, and father. His laugh was contangious, which made everyone laugh. Hugs were always for free since he was a lover and not a fighter. Silvestre is loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. RIP Jr. AKA Silky, love you so much son, brother, tio, dad, and friend to many. This is not goodbye but until we meet again, Love you Mijo. Silvestre is survived by his two children; Alexiah and Analiah Olmedo, Parents; Erlinda Salinas and Silvestre Olmedo, Brother; Apolinar Zavala Jr., and Sisters; Maria Mendoza and Norma Mendoza. Viewing and visitation will be held 12:00 to 6:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 4:00 pm Sunday December 21, 2014. Monday December 22, 2014 viewing and visitation will be held 4:00 to 8:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:30 am Tuesday December 23, 2014 at Saint Josephs Catholic Church in Sunnyside followed by graveside services at the Outlook Cemetery. A reception will be held at Saint Josephs gymnasium after the graveside services. Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in care of all arrangements.
