Shirley Hursh

Shirley Marie Hursh, 82 Our beautiful mother and grandmother Shirley M. (Hargraves) Hursh, was called home to her Lord on September 18, 2019. She was born December 26,1936 in Toppenish, WA, to Frank and Rozella (Alderman) Hargraves. Shirley met and married the love of her life Hubert Joe “Hub” Hursh on June 5, 1953. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother to their 6 children and numerous grandchildren. She attended Toppenish, WA school and then returned, after raising her family to complete her education. Mom was proud to be the office manager/bookkeeper for Dalee Rentals and Sales and for Ironhorse Equipment. She was also, assistant manger for Hills café. Mom enjoyed being a Bluebird and Campfire leader, and a Sunday School teacher. She loved sewing, cooking, canning, and baking. She was a loving caregiver for various family members in their time of need. One of her greatest joys was camping and fishing with her husband. They took all their grandchildren on annual 9-day camping trips to Lake Roosevelt. She is survived by her son, Lee Hursh (Denny) Union Gap, WA. Her three daughters, Judy Schafer (Roger) Soap Lake, WA. Joyce Douglas (Foster) Cape Coral, Fl and Columbia Falls, MT, and Angela Celestine (Dennis) Sedro Woolley, WA. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Hargraves, Rozella Hargraves and Jesse Skelton, 2 siblings, beloved husband Hubert, and sons Eddie and Hughie Hursh. Services will be held at Valley Hills Funeral Home Wapato, WA on September 28, 2019. Final respects may be made prior to services from 9-11 AM.
