Sherry O'Shea

Sherry O’Shea 80, of Zillah, WA., passed away on April 6, 2024, of natural causes. Sherry (Schmidt) O’Shea grew up on a farm in Harrah, WA. She was born on April 16, 1943, to parents John and Faye Schmidt. She married the love of her life, James O’Shea, on May 7, 1966, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (White Swan). Sherry committed her life to raising her children, supporting her husband, keeping her home, and helping to care for her grandchildren. She found joy in gardening, painting, and playing the accordion. Survivors: include her daughter Fay Stewart and her husband, Todd (Portland), two sons, Dan O’Shea and James O’Shea Jr. (Zillah), seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, sister Margaret Hagarty and her husband Duane, brother Ron Schmidt and partner Debi, sister-in-law Bea Carmichael, and brothers-in-law Clyde Carpenter and Kenneth O’Shea, and all of her cousins, nieces, nephews, and families. Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Jim O’Shea (2008), and their two sons, Theodore O’Shea (1987) and Jeffery O’Shea (1981), and her parents, John Schmidt (2014) and Faye Schmidt (2018), sisters-in-law, Carolyn Carpenter, Jeanie Hoier, and her husband, Bob, Bernie Romero, and her husband, Larry. Reciting of the Most Holy Rosary and a visitation with family will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Zillah, WA. Funeral Service for Sherry will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 11:00 am at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah, WA. An inurnment will be held at a later date.
