Sharon Ridout

October 14, 1936 — December 6, 2024

Sharon Lee Ridout, 88, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on December 6, 2024. Sharon was born on October 14,1936, to Paul K. Moore and Helen V. (McIntyre) Moore. After graduating from Morton High School, Sharon married Thomas Wayne Ridout on March 16,1956 in Morton, Washington. Sharon was a longtime resident of the Yakima Valley working alongside her husband in the ministry at Ahtanum Valley Assembly of God. In addition to all the duties of family and homemaking she worked seasonally in the apple and hop industry. After Sharon and Tom retired from thirty-three years of ministry, she enjoyed traveling with her husband to national parks, visiting family, gardening, reading and painting. In 2013 Sharon moved to Western Washington calling Poulsbo home for ten years living near family while keeping busy with gardening, Bible studies, art, swimming with friends, and caring for her sweet dog Penny. Sharon always had a deep love for God and her family. Her greatest prayers and desires for her family were for each to experience God's great care and love over their lives. Sharon was proceeded in death by her father (Paul Moore) and mother (Helen Moore), her loving husband (Thomas Ridout) of fifty-six years, and her grandson (Nicholas Ridout). She is survived by sister Patricia Terry, daughter Debbie Cooper, son Steve Ridout, son Scott Ridout (wife Susan Ridout), daughter Carrie Cole (husband Mitch Cole), daughter Carmen Rees (husband William Rees), twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
