Sarah Arquette

May 19, 1964 — October 6, 2025

Sarah Lillian Arquette was born on May 19, 1964, to Nancy Jasway and William “Hollywood” Arquette. She was an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of the Yakama Nation and grew up at Cougar Creek, surrounding mountains, and Medicine Valley with her family. She was also a first foods gatherer at Toppenish Creek Longhouse.

Sarah graduated from White Swan High School with the Class of 1983 and later attended Northwest Indian College. She worked for Yakama Nation Fire Management and Forestry for many years, where she loved being outdoors on her traditional lands. Sarah was an avid sports fan, always cheering on her Seattle Seahawks, 49ers, and the Seattle Mariners, among many other teams. She also loved to bead and make shawls, but her favorite times were those spent visiting and laughing with her loved ones.

Sarah leaves behind her loving mate, Joe Smiscon, and her children: April (Eric) Queahpama, Feather (Rosanna) Phillips, James Lomakema, Sarah Lomakema (Johnny), Sandy Lomakema, Percy Thompson & Peggy, Priscilla, Pauline, Karla, Wilma, and William of Muckleshoot, WA. She is also survived by her siblings Greg Arquette, Rose Arquette (Bill), Sandra Arquette, and Lee Arquette (Julie).

She rejoins her parents, Nancy and William, her daughter Lucie Ann Arquette, her son Joslin Joe Ross, her grandson LJ, and her siblings Seymour Arquette, Ron Arquette, Mary Garcia, Jeff Arquette, Darlene L. Arquette, and Ira James Arquette.

Our loved one left us many beautiful memories, with her love as our guide. Although we can no longer see her, she will always remain by our side.
