Sandra Chappell

Sandra Marie Chappell - February 17, 1945 – November 4, 2022 Sandra “Sandy” Marie Chappell, age 77, loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many, passed away suddenly on November 4, 2022. She was born on February 17, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan to Dale and Mary Chappell. Later in life the family relocated to Los Angeles, California, where they remained for many years. Sandy moved herself and her three children to Grandview, Washington in 1979, where she continued to live for the remainder of her life. She will be remembered for her love of her cats, of old movies and musicals, reading historical fiction books, and collecting vintage dolls/paper dolls. Not known by many, she was also quite a good artist, and her family will cherish the paintings that she leaves as her legacy. Ultimately, what brought her the most joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; their simple presence in the room was enough to bring a bright smile to her beautiful face. She is survived by her son Timothy O’Neill (Julie) and her daughter Theresa Bakke-O’Neill. She is also survived by her grandchildren Amanda O’Neill, Megan Leveque, Timmie Denn (Andrew), Seth O’Neill (Angie), and her 5 cherished great- grandchildren, all of whom lovingly refer to her as “Grams”. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Mary Chappell, and her son Mark O’Neill. A Celebration of Life will take place in the New Year. Details will be announced when available.
