Ryan Cardwell

Ryan Steven Cardwell of Yakima, WA passed away Sept 12, 2021, at 43 years of age, at his residence. He was born Jan 24, 1978 in Wichita, Kansas, a twin to brother Tony Daniel Cardwell. Ryan and his brother were adopted into the Cardwell family at the age of five. They were Home Schooled from kindergarten thru 8th grade by their mom. Ryan attended Lowell High School, Lowell OR, for his Freshman and Sophomore years, then completed his Junior and Senior years at North Lake High School, Christmas Valley, OR as the family had relocated there. During his younger years the family enjoyed trips across country to Michigan and also through Mexico into Belize, Central America. He joined the Navy in the summer of 1997 and completed his training at the USO Illinois Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Chicago, in May of 1998. Twelve family members drove or flew there to witness this accomplishment. Ryan was a truck driver for most of his adult life and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He is survived by his parents Kerry and Carmen Cardwell of Christmas Valley, OR as well as his son Jayden Ryan Cardwell of Albany, OR; his daughter Aubrey Helen Elizabeth Cardwell of Yakima WA, her mother Elizabeth of Yakima WA; his twin brother Tony Cardwell (wife Michele) of Spring Hill, TN, and brothers Scott Cardwell (wife Laurie) of Fall Creek, OR; Jeff Cardwell (wife Karen) of Fall Creek, OR, and Hansford Rose, II (wife Danielle) of Austin, TX. Ryan is also survived by five sisters: Sonja (husband Dan) Casarez of Fall Creek, OR; Shelly (husband Brian) Murray Hipple of Allen, WA; Rachel (husband Aaron) Thurman of Jasper, OR; Aleta (husband Marsh) Heilman of League City, TX, and Delana (husband Israel) Blas of Houston, TX. He also leaves behind 17 nieces and 22 nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Ryan was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Orval & Dorothy Haynie, Kenneth & Juanita Tentinger, and grandmother Maxine Cardwell and birth father Steven Sampley.
