Ruel Johnson, 89, of Yakima died Monday.
Mr. Johnson was born in Highlandville, Mo. He lived in the Yakima Valley for more than 70 years. He served in the Army as a corporal during World War II. He worked as a wheat harvester for the Stalcup family in Pomeroy and as a warehouse foreman for Cowin and Son for more than 44 years.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Johnson; a son, Russell Johnson; a daughter, Linda Sager, all of Yakima; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in West Hills Memorial Park, West Valley. A memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima.
