Rose E. Foiles
Rose E. Foiles, 85, passed away peacefully February 7, 2018 in Yakima, WA at Willow Springs Rehab Center. Rose was born in Wilder, Idaho on April 16, 1932. She attended school in Toppenish and lived in Buena. When she was sixteen she worked at the Buena Market. She graduated high school in 1950, then worked at the Ben Franklin Store, located in the Central Bank Building. In 1952 mom married Les Foiles and they farmed on Wilson Rd. By 1960 they had moved to town and mom had four children to raise.
In 1970 Mom and Dad moved to Mississippi due to a transfer by Dad’s employment with the United States Department of Agriculture. A year later another transfer to Corvallis, Oregon; until their retirement in 1990.
In 1991 they moved back to Yakima and took many trips to hunt rock, fish and camp. Mom was an avid reader and an accomplished seamstress. She had made quilts for each of her kids.
Rose is survived by daughter, Katherine (Bob) Lundberg of Wapato; sons, Greg (Tracy) Foiles of Raymond, WA, Kevin (Sheila) Foiles of Portland, OR, Lewis (Cheryl) Foiles of Raleigh, NC; and grandchildren, Jocelyn (Mathias) Bachman of Seatac, WA, Kyle Foiles of LaMour, CA, Jessica (Jason)Vattitoni of Hampton, VA; Justin(Krystal Porter) Urhansen of Colville, WA, Tyler (Heather) Michelle of Ashville, NC; sister-in-law, Dorothy Langston of Kennewick; brother-in-law, Ronald (Louise) of Port Orchard, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents, William and Winnie Flowers; brothers, Bill and jay; and sisters, Virginia and Darlene.
Rose was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She will be missed.
