Our beloved and cherished mother left us to meet her Lord and Savior on august 14, 2019, surrounded by her supportive and loving family. Rosaura Salinas was born on October 13, 1955 in Madera, CA to Servando and Ana Maria Alaniz of La Grulla, Texas. She came to this Earth as a beautiful blessing and first born daughter. Rosaura spent most of her childhood in La Grulla Where she attended La Grulla Elementary until her parents moved to Washington State, where she continued her education at Garfield Junior High in Toppenish, WA. On February 22, 1986, she married the love of her life, George P. Salinas Jr. She had 2 grandchildren Malakai Salinas and Jazzia Salinas who she loved with all her heart. She was a firm believer in her faith in God and that one day she would meet her lord and savior. Rosaura had 6 brothers, Miguel Valenzuela, Juan Antonio Alaniz, Rolando Alaniz SR, Reynaldo Alaniz, Servando Alaniz JR, and Simon Alaniz. She also had 3 sisters, Mary Alaniz, Francisca Prieto, and Secilia Arellano. When her mother passed away, she became the family matriarch. She was a source of constant support and comfort for many. Rosaura will be remembered for her beautiful and loving ways as well as her selflessness and compassion for others. She never displayed indifference to others, and would never turn down someone who needed help. She was a selfless, caring, loving wife and mother who always knew how to smile. Rosaura had a quiet strength that she used daily. She had every right to cry, or be mad at her illness; but instead she lived every moment she was given and let no illness rob her of who she was. She remained forever graceful until her lord called her home. Rosaura is proceeded in death by her parents, her son George P. Salians lll and her brothers Miguel Valenzuela and Simon Alaniz I have fought the good fight, I have finished the Race, I have kept faith. 2 Tomothy 4:7 Please join the family in honor Rosaura at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Viewing will be Thursday, August 29 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow Friday, at 10:00 a.m. The family would appreciate any donation towards services during this time.
