Rosa Garza

Our beloved mother, Rosa T. Garza unexpectedly passed away on May 28, 2023, at the age of 77. She was a special person that you can guarantee would answer her phone every time it rang and with her powerful voice, you could always hear her from miles away. Rosa was born in San Benito, Texas and migrated over to Washington in 1980. She migrated in between towns before officially settling in Sunnyside 5 years later. Rosa enjoyed working in the farm industry where she would travel to Idaho and Oregon before she changed career paths and became a Pre-School teacher until she retired. Rosa is survived by her 6 children, Peter & Mari Garza, Linda Acevedo, Richard & Antonia Garza, James Garza, Jennifer Garza and Eric & Angela Garza; her 3 siblings, Juanita Montelongo, Estella & Juan Soto, and Alejandro Tijerina. In addition to, her 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is proceeded in death by her son Eduardo Garza, parents Alejandro & Guadalupe Tijerina, sisters Mary Bocanegra, Olivia Medina, and grandsons Jason Espinoza, Andre Harrell, Eric John Jr. and Jermaine Garza.
