Ronald Dwayne Whiz
Ronald Dwayne Whiz was born on May 26, 1968 in Toppenish, WA and was called home on March 2, 2018. He was a lifelong resident and enrolled member of the Yakama Nation. He is the son of Bill Austin and Mildred T. (Whitefoot) Whiz.
Ron graduated from Wapato High School and went to Portland to further his career and receive his CDL. He loved fishing, YMCA, his truck, basketball, football, hunting and was very committed to his recovery and in helping others in his life and their lives. He loved to talk and was never short on words. He loved talking one to one.
Ron was a very loving son, brother, father, and friend, in that he literally gave up his life to care for his mother, the family was very grateful for him for this.
Ron is leaves behind his siblings, Sally (Erland) Suppah, Aleatha (Alfred) McConville, Patricia Wager, Byron Proctor, Rebecca Bursell and Ray (Dyana) Whiz; his children, Anthony J. Whiz, Brittany Whiz, Jeremy Whiz, Alicia Whiz, and Sebastian Whiz.
Ron has journeyed on to be with the rest of our family; his parents, Bill and Mildred Whiz; sister, Donna (Louie) Kishwalk; brothers, Merris Whiz and Glenn Whiz; and nephew, Chancellor Whiz.
Dressing services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, March 5, 2018 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato, followed by church services at the All Tribes Church in Wapato; with dinner at 5:00pm and services at 7:00pm. Burial will be departing All Tribes Tuesday at 7:00am at the McCoy Cemetery.
