Ronald Dean Thompson (79) was born to Milo and Virley Thompson on August 9th, 1933. Ronald passed away at home on June 22nd, 2013.
He grew up in Yakima and went to Washington Junior High and Davis High School. He met his future wife Betty and they were married on April 19th, 1952. They have been together for over 60 years. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening and going to Arizona with Betty for the winter. He worked as a section foreman for the Union Pacific railroad for 21 years.
Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother and sister. He is survived by his wife Betty, two daughters, Colleen (Fred) Schay of Port Orchard and Theresa Cunningham of Yakima, a son, Milo Doug Thompson, four grandchildren, Bryon (Traci) of Yakima, Mandi (Shawn) of Yakima, Angie of Port Orchard, and Jeannie (Dusty) of Port Orchard, and nine great grandchildren, Alexis, Brianna, Chelsea, Devon, and Elizabeth, all of Port Orchard, and Jullian, Emily, Camryn, and Dillon, all of Yakima.
