Ronald Allen

Ronald Alden Allen Ron was born February 3, 1929, to Harold Collins Allen and Althea Elizabeth (Odette) Allen in Chester, Vermont. He spent 3 years in the military, October 4, 1952, to October 1953. He spent 10 months in Korea, while there he was at DMZ Zone. During his time there, he received three Bronze Stars. After service, he came to Yakima, where he married Pearl Nelson until her death in June 1986. He enjoyed going fishing and camping in his motor home, and trips on his boat. He remarried in 1987 to Doris Odem. After his retirement, they did a lot of traveling together until her passing in August 2009. Ron was a member of Open Heart Baptist Church in Selah, WA, where he made many memories. Ron was preceded in death by 2 brothers. He is survived by 3 sisters living on the East Coast, 3 stepsons, 2 stepdaughters, 10 grandsons 3-step granddaughters and many great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter.
