Rodney Allen Martin Rodney was born February 23, 1966 in Guam to Rose Marie Mulvaney Hoptowit and William (Bill) Cartmell. Rodney passed away in the early morning hours in his home. Rodney enjoyed working on cars and chiffon it up on the BBQ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and riding his Harley Davidson and cutting wood and loved being in the mountians(his other home). He loved spending time with the family especially his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also had a huge heart. His home was always open to anyone in need and he always made sure everyone had a hot meal and warm safe place to sleep, especially children. Children always came first, they were his pride and joy. Rodney is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Barbara Martin; his children, Jennifer (David) George, Laura Hernandez, Curtis (Tawnee) Martin, Sara (Kenny) Curtis; his grandchildren, Andy, Tasyi, Bobby, Michael, Amaya, AC, Kayne, Nocona, Paradise, Jaiden, Leilah, and Ava; his great grandchildren, Mia, Marius, Watin’nash; his brothers, Joe (Amy) Gadley, John (Laura) Mulvaney, Jim (Val) Mulvaney, Corneilious (Pam) Martin, Devin Cartmell, Carl Martin, Rick Wolf, Ray (Carol) Martin; sisters, Danielle Cartmell and Laurie Cartmell. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Martin; and sister, Denise (Mouse) Gadley. Services will follow from Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato at 9:00 am Wednesday, June 6, 2018 to Toppenish Creek Longhouse for dressing at 10:00am and overnight service. Procession to St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery will begin at 6:00am Thursday, June 7, 2018.
