Roberta Strawn

October 9, 1927 — February 5, 2016

Roberta Virginia Strawn 10/09/1927 – 02/05/2016 Born in Priest River, Idaho and moved to the Yakima Valley when she was only 7 years old. She started helping her mother with a family restaurant at a very young age. She worked there for many years. She then continued her adult career with Snokist, where she worked until retirement. She then became a homemaker. She met her late husband, Erwin Eugene Strawn when he came to work for her mother at the restaurant. They fell in love and married on October 5, 1958. They eventually moved to the Pomona View Mobile Court, where they gained many friends and family. Her fondest memories were when all of her babies were born perfect and also going dancing. She loved art and music. She passed her time by filling out each and every crossword puzzle that she came across, answering every single clue on jeopardy, and yelling at her schnauzer, Fancy. She is survived by 3 living children: Colleen, Trilby and Bill; her grandchildren: Chanelle, Chris, Dylan, Gina, Heather, Lindsay, Mikayla, and Reo; numerous great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Erwin, son Rick, daughter Tangi, and son-in-law Dan. A special “Thank You” to Harry and Lorrene Strong for the love, encouragement, and strength. A Celebration of Her Life will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Valley Hills Funeral Home Chapel, 2600 Business Lane, Yakima.
