Robert Mccoy

Robert McCoy of Zillah passed away on May 12 at the age of 83. Robert joined the navy at age of 17 and was on the carrier U.S.S.Esset in the Korean war. After his discharge fro the service he returned to his home & family. He met Karen Tachett a pen pal he was writing to while he was in the service. They married in August of 54. They have five children Debbie, Cindy, Joe (Randy) Lee & Jod, they lived in Zillah all 62 years of their marriage. He was a 43 year member of American Legion and was a member of the International Union Of Operating Engineers as he was a heavy equipment operator for 35 years. He loved to fish & hunt with his best friend Jack White & Otto Becker. He loved making model airplanes & ships. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Minnie & Everet, 2 brothers Charles (Bud) & Harlon, 4 sisters Pansy, Jean, June, Sharon his two oldest sons Randy (Joe) & Lee. He is survived by his wife Karen, 2 daughters Debbie (Ken), Cindy (Dan), son Tod (Marcie) 2 sisters Ruby & Zola & one brother Donald. At Roberts request there will be No services & a family get together will be at a later date.
