Richard Lee Murray

Richard was born in Yakima. Raised in Wapato & Sunnyside. He graduated in 1974 from Sunnyside High School. He attended Clover Park Technical College in Tacoma and graduated in 1976 with a technical degree in telephone and computer engineering. He worked for United Telephone Company from 1977 and retired from there in 2015.

He is preceded in death by his Mother Florence O'Neal, Step Father Loys O'Neal, Father Ernest Murray. He is survived by his Wife Evelyn Murray, his children Renee & Rick, his grandchildren Brody & Brandy, his Aunt & Uncle & numerous Cousins, Nieces & Nephews.

A celebration of life will be held for Richard, 

Saturday, September 5th, 2026 12 pm to 2:30pm at the Zillah Civic Center.
