Richard (Dick) L. LaPierre passed peacefully on June 11, 2022, with family by his side. He joined our Lord Jesus Christ, his parents, loving wife Pat, and firstborn son Ricky (Richard L. Jr.); he had just celebrated his 85th birthday.
Dick was born on April 24, 1937, in Granger, Washington, to Donald Everett and Evelyn Bertha Hoskins-La Pierre. He graduated from Granger high school in 1955. Later that same year, he eloped and married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia R. Nielsen.
In 1970 the family bought a farm and moved to Naches. While raising six children, Dick worked in the trucking industry until his mid-70s. After retiring from Yakima Oil, he and Pat started Windsong Trucking Company and continued working together until her passing in 2015.
Family was the most important part of Dick’s life, from his Grandma Hoskins to his newest great-granddaughter Rory and everyone in between.
He is survived by his best friends; his brother Duane and wife Nancy, childhood friend Richard (Dick) Parker, his brothers Dale, Dennis, and Greg LaPierre, his sister Renee Malzahn, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
