Richard Compo was born on September 13, 1943 and passed away peacefully in his home on May 22, 2019 in the mid-morning.
He was a proud member of the Kahama/Compo family equally. He actively enjoyed attending rodeos with family. His favorite being the Pendleton Roundup. He attended regularly up until more recent years. He also spent countless hours up in the hills hunting and teaching the young men of his family. His most favorite past time was sitting on the bank of the upper dam in Union Gap and Mt. Adams Lake. He also loved attending gun shows with his nephews, window shopping, while loving to shop regularly at the Dollar store as often as possible. Richard was also a dedicated worker of the Yakama Nation Tribal School for many years.
He is survived by his siblings Lawerance Compo, Francine Delorme, Louetta Gardee, Thedore Compo.
His step daughter, Vesta Lopez and numerous nephews/nieces and grand nieces/nephews.
He is preceded in death by both his parents Titus Compo and Lillian Kahama. He also joins his three brothers, Cecil Compo Sr., William Compo, Alvin Compo, and one sister, Jeannette Compo.
Final resting place will be a the Methodist Cemetery in White Swan, WA.
