Rhea Lunyou of Zillah passed away June 26, 2015 in Yakima, Wa. She was born July 17, 1940 in Guthrie, Ok. to Roy and Inis Shafer Dewhirst. She attended school in Cushing, Ok. until her family moved to Zillah, Wa. where she graduated from Toppenish High School as Salutatorian in 1958. She married Raymon Lunyou on July 25, 1958 in Prosser, Wa. She worked at Seattle First National bank/Bank of America in Toppenish for 30 years. She liked to go camping, travel in trailer east, and enjoyed bowling. She and Ray enjoyed going antiquing for several years. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Toppenish and a member of the James Schooley American Legion Auxiliary of Zillah for several years. Rhea is survived by her husband, Raymon Lunyou; son, Gary and Taryn Lunyou of Wapato, Wa.; grandchildren, Robert and Carrie Lunyou of Yakima, Wa., Trixie and Garrick Hill of Spokane, Wa., Tim-Allen and LaRay Sweezea of Calhan, Co., Kurt Sweezea and Whitney Maxwell of Selah, Wa., Tiffany Sweezea-DiMauro and John DiMauro of Ft. Carson, Co.; great grandchildren, Kenadie, Hailee Lunyou, and Dakota due August 2015, Jacob, Dominic, and Lilian Sweezea, Alexis Sweezea, Demitrious Henry, and David Wilson, Tyler Beard, Konnor Sweezea, and Kensi Hill; special cousin, Kelly and Joan Barnes; sister-in-law, Ilene and (Joe) Jones, Joyce Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and great granddaughter, Taylor Sweezea. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at West Hills Memorial Park in Yakima.
