Reginald Queampts

November 11, 1952 — February 4, 2018

Reginald Queampts passed away on February 4, 2018. He was born on November 11, 1952 and grew up in White Swan, Washington. He graduated from White Swan High School in 1971. Reggie worked many years at BIA Facility Management and Wapato Irrigation. He was a hard worker and he looked forward to going in to work every day. In his early years, Reginald enjoyed playing basketball and participated in a pool league. He also enjoyed traveling to the mountains to fish and visiting Potato Hill to pick huckleberries. One of his favorite places to travel to was the Annual Round-Up in Pendleton, Oregon. There he set up his tee-pee and camped out for the entire round-up, which was passion. Reginald was a huge Seattle Seahawks fan and enjoyed watching the games on Sundays. A big moment for him was attending a Seattle Seahawks game with the late David Dogsleep. He also enjoyed watching Ichiro Suzuki when he was playing for the Seattle Mariners. Recently, Reginald and his companion enjoyed going to sporting events of all kinds: basketball, soccer, flag-football, and gymnastics. Family members are thankful and appreciative of the teachings he shared with them like cooking and cleaning. Reginald was a man who went out of his way to take care of his family and friends. Reginald is survived by companion, Diana Valdez, close friends, Glen and Connie Yallup, his brothers, Ronnie J. Queampts, Benji Queampts, and Richard Yallup, Sr., his sisters, Patricia R. Brown, Deborah K. Brown, Maryland D. Brown, Sonia D. Wesley, and Suzanne Queampts, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Reginald’s parents, Benny (“Jeff”) Queampts and Matilda Tkumasur Brown, sister, Melissa A. Brown, wife, Vivian Lloyd Queampts, and cousin, Cyril Brooks, preceded him in death. The viewing will take place at the White Swan Community Center from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on February 6, 2018, and all denominations are welcome.
