Our beloved son, nephew, uncle, brother “Indian Laquash” Raymond Tallman, 46 years old, went to our Creator on Monday, October 8, 2018. He was born March 15, 1972 to Gloria Tallman in Tacoma, WA. He was raised and educated in White Swan and attended Yakama Nation Tribal School.
In his early years, Raymond was raised by his maternal grandmother, Lillie (Yoke) Whitefoot of Medicine Valley. Raymond was surrounded with his cousins who visited their grandmother and family often. He loved being in the mountains to hunt, fish and gather traditional foods. He also enjoyed playing basketball and football with his cousins.
Raymond was a member of the Yakama Nation. He has numerous family members who live on the Yakama Reservation; Priest Rapids Village in Beverly, WA and the Warm Springs Reservation in Oregon.
Other than his mother, Gloria of Yakima and numerous family members from the White Swan and Medicine Valley area, he is survived by a special uncle, Greg Nanamkin of Yakima.
There will be a dressing on Wednesday October 10, 2018, 1 PM at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato, WA with overnight services to follow at the All Tribes Church. Funeral service will be at 9 AM at the All Tribes Church on Thursday, October 11, 2018 with burial to follow at the Yesmowit Cemetery in Medicine Valley, WA.
