Raymond Carl Schibig passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2026 at the age of 65. He was born on October 28, 1960 in Yakima, WA to Robert and Loraine Schibig. Ray grew up on their farm in Wapato but lived in Seattle for a number of years before he returned to the valley to take over operation of the family orchard. He was admired for his devotion to the family, especially his parents. Ray was a man of his word. He was an avid reader, loved fishing and hunting, and shared many fishing and hunting trips with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Ray is survived by his siblings, Mary Schibig, Alan Schibig, Tom Schibig, Joseph Schibig, Theresa Wellman, Robert (Ann) Schibig, Susan (Marty) Schoolcraft and Karen Schibig. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Loraine Schibig, and brother James Schibig.
