Raymond Roderick

Raymond Eugene Roderick, 76 passed away on April 13th, 2014, at Colonial House in Kennewick, WA. Born in Sunnyside WA to Harold and Doris Roderick, he was the oldest of five children. Raymond graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1956 and was a member of the First Brethren Church. As a young man he worked for the Valley Irrigation District until he was called to serve his country in the Berlin Crisis at Germany. He was proud to serve in the United States Army. Throughout his life Ray worked for different local farmers in Sunnyside until he retired. Raymond is survived by his daughter, Della (Mark) Schaefer, son, Robert (Becca) Roderick, and step son Ben Tarango, and several grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother: Warren (Telly) Roderick, sisters: Leta (Gil) Langholff, Barbara (Larry) Barkey, and DiAnn (Bernie) Schutt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Beall Roderick and his Parents: Harold and Doris Roderick. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside. Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in care of all arrangements.
